No matter what the event live streaming over the Internet offers the oppourtunity to expand your audience and engage those in your circle who may not be able to attend what you’re hosting. From the popularity of webinars, to streaming conferences, lectures, interviews, seminars, online shows, meetings, award shows, concerts, plays and sporting events, live streaming works as both a cost saving measure and engagement tool for those who utilize it.
With online video consumption continually increasing and more Internet providers offering unlimited bandwidth packages with ever increasing speed it isn’t surprising that more and more Internet users are choosing to live stream their events. Below are just some of the ways you can utilize live streaming to benefit your business or organization.
Conferences – Attending a conference can be a costly expense for any employee, with travel, accommodation and entrance fees, but with an option to participate in the conference from home, both money and time are saved.
Meetings – For any organization getting all of your employees in one place can be difficult, especially if you’re spread out over a large geographic area. Coordinating a live streaming meeting allows everyone to see what’s happening in the boardroom and comes with the ability to let those not present contribute to the discussion via conference call or a chat program.
Fundraising – Are you holding a great event to raise money for a cause? Perhaps having a challenge to see who can last the longest on an elliptical or which couple can stay dancing through the night? Why not live stream your challenge and allow people to check in on their challenger? You can even add a donation link to keep the money flowing, no matter the hour.
Seminars – Are you looking to increase your audience for a seminar you’re offering? Why not create a live streaming version for those who might not be able to make it in person.
Live Shows – Have you ever wanted to star in your own show? Why not have a live streaming event where you share your mastery of cooking, interview local personalities, take your viewers of a tour of an event in progress or give a concert with your band.
Remember, even if an event is live streamed you can still archive a copy and share it long after the air date.
